Cindy is in Crawford, but it looks like no one showed up to her book signed, except for a couple of news photographer types. Perhaps she hads got all of the milage there is to be had out of her dead son.

Cindy Sheehan has completely disrespected her son and everything that he and all of those braver than I stand for. Being a soldier has to be one of the most difficult jobs to have, and one that we should value above most. Whether she agrees with the cause or not is beside the point. Her son died fighting for our peace and security. She should be honoring him. Instead her actions suggest that her son lived a useless life. I sure as hell wouldn’t buy her book and I hope no one does.
The United States of America is a Supreme Power in this world. We often try to play that down, but the fact is everyone else thinks of us that way. We might as well act like it or we will never enjoy the peace and security that should come with being a supreme power. I feel very fortunate and proud to be an American. Thank God for all of those who have fought so hard and even given their lives for all of us!!
By the way, speaking of the troops, I heard about a really cool effort that is going on for the soldiers who have families back home. There is a group that has asked for donations of children’s books. They sit down with the soldiers and video tape them reading the book. The soldier then can write a note in the book and the book and the tape are sent back to the family so that mommy or daddy can read a book to their children! Isn’t that cool?!?
